Sumidero Canyon is an amazing place. Plush green with mountains surrounding you as you move slowly down the river. Many times you can see clouds at the tops of the mountains.

The Canyon is home to a variety of wildlife including crocodiles. There is a very good chance you will see them as you cruise down the river. The tours run continuously. The boats are small, holding about 20 people each. The tour begins at the river's edge in a small town called Chiapa de Corzo, just 24 miles from Tuxtla Gutiérrez.
